Sawn Timber Laths for fibrous plasterwork purposes. Consistent thickness and dimensions, with straight edges.
Supplied in packs of 100 they are 3mm thick, 22mm wide and 3mtr long.
Manufactured from pine, as a cheaper alternative to the more common Obeche (or Wawa) wood.
Pine is ideal for laths as it is fairly knot-free. Primarily it is used to reinforce plaster cornice but may also be suitable for lath and plasterwork, when riven laths are not required.
It is worth mentioning that it is standard practice to soak laths prior to use to prevent cracking and crazing on the plasterware decorative face. We recommend a mild bleach solution in your lath tank, this will kill any mould spore that has settled on the product since delivery.
